“We promote respect, create opportunities, facilitate services, and advocate for equal rights for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”
-The Arc
“Serving bright students with dyslexia
and other learning differences.”– The Summit School
BuilderGuru is extremely passionate about two specific praiseworthy organizations in the Anne Arundel County area. First, BuilderGuru has found it important to support The Arc of the Chesapeake Region over the years. The Arc has been completely loyal to the company and it came natural to assist with the complete ground up of their new headquarters in Odenton, Maryland. BGC | Gardiner and Gardiner brought in Doug Seikman of Level One Architects and it was a smooth process and cohesive relationship from the very beginning.
Secondly, the Summit School, an academy for those with dyslexia or other learning differences, was a clear choice for BuilderGuru. We initiated a companionship and helped with a complete fit out of a STEM lab expansion onto an existing elevated patio attached to the building. Summit recently celebrated 30 years of success and BGC | Gardiner and Gardiner is looking forward to more work in the near future.
The Arc and the Summit School are near and dear to the hearts of the company workers because many have relatives with the same daily struggles. BuilderGuru thoroughly enjoys contributing to families during the holidays, as well as sponsoring fundraisers like golf tournaments at the Golf Club at South River, skeet shooting events, and car washes, with proceeds going towards improving all facilities. Our team is currently brainstorming future philanthropic events assisting The Arc, Summit and others not mentioned. We have something special up our sleeve for 2020!
