The 2024 Excellence in Construction & Safety Awards, hosted by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Chesapeake Shores, proudly honors the year’s most outstanding construction companies for their remarkable leadership, safety, and innovation achievements. BGC received three awards at the 2024 Excellence in Construction & Safety Banquet. The details of each award are provided below.
STEP AWARD
The STEP award represents a premier safety management system that offers a structured approach to evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of a company’s safety program. Participants receive a score based on 25 elements of the safety program, including management commitment to safety, employee engagement, use of personal protective equipment, and record-keeping practices.
EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION AWARD: SAILOR OYSTER BAR
The Excellence in Construction Awards recognize the talent and creativity of the entire team—contractor, owner, architect, and engineer—behind an exceptional merit shop construction project. The 2024 award winners surpassed expectations in both innovation and quality.
