With these two new additions, BGC | G&G has now received 70 awards!
Back in September, we won two awards at the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Chesapeake Shores Chapter, for Excellence in Construction and a Safety Award. We were presented both the Excellence Award for a Commercial Renovation less than $4 million and the STEP Award for Gold Level of Achievement.
Every year, the ABC Chesapeake Shores Chapter recognizes excellent projects built by members of the chapter. This year, we received our Excellence Award for the work we did on the Chart House Restaurant remodel. Our work helped the restaurant to gain more local attention as a popular waterfront location in Annapolis. We remodeled the layout and added a new raised bar, fireplace, and lounge. There were a few challenges we dealt with during the project including: completing the construction in two phases to allow the restaurant to stay open, adhering to strict historic Annapolis building codes, and dealing with environmental concerns working near the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Regardless, we completed this project right on time.
Our other award, the STEP Award Gold Level was rewarded to us because of our participation with the Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) program. The program was created by and for contractors to ensure safety was still a priority in the field. At BGC | G&G, we take safety very seriously so this was a big honor for us.
As always, we are very proud of our team and all of the hard work that they do to make these awards possible.
