The 3,800-square-foot retail space, in the Inner Harbor section of Baltimore. McCormick, which today is based in Sparks, Md., began in Baltimore in 1889, and for almost seven decades, until 1989, operated its factory and headquarters directly across the street from its new store. The store is the first retail venture by the spice maker where shoppers can stock up on Old Bay and grilling marinades, learn their personal “flavor profile” and discover an array of international spices.
