A new 41,000 SF testing laboratory facility was built for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). This research center located in Upper Marlboro is a multifunctional facility housing labs, testing floors, offices, an observation gallery, discussion theater for focus group marketing, storage and kitchen. This facility is a top industry resource for reliable, objective information and research on housing construction and development issues. G&G gave special attention to the research testing floor. This concrete floor has to withstand up to 10,000 psi to accommodate testing equipment. This facility also boast exquisite maple woodwork and stainless steel inserts in the wall panels demonstrate true craftsmanship and attention to detail. A floor to ceiling glass wall separates the lobby from the multipurpose room. This glasswork is indicative of the many unusual glass elements located with in the building.
